What is it you do for a living...?

Gabi Glass here. We're finally seeing the light after 15 months stuck in pan-DemiLovato. My husband, Tommy Glass and I are currently quarantined at a hotel in Ashburn, VA for his contract with Wolf Trap Opera. Social Distance life was jarring for us. We watched a ton of Netflix, played through video games, cooked meals that would normally take too much time while on the road. Recently, sitting around and thinking about what our future holds has been a focus of ours. Honestly? This last year has been challenging as a newly married couple, and the question of "What are we doing for a living?" has never been so ominous. Being a musician is hard. Also being married to one? Even harder.

During a chat we had yesterday, we highlighted the one thing we did know. We don't want to be apart for long periods of time. Before the panini press we saw each other so infrequently that when we got stuck this last year, it was like a whole new relationship. Practicing in a shared 500 sq. ft apartment was a whole new level of patience. (I do know Tommy's whole warm up routine). We laughed. We cried. We fought. We made up. And now, we're a strong team that is going to stick together. So while Tommy is practicing and doing his #Operalife, I've decided I'm going to try something new here. Documenting this life we have. So next time someone asks what we do, and how we do it, I'll be sending them here to Glassical Studios. Welcome to our family!
